E-Facilitation: Effective methods of interacting with students online

Brief outline/description
This workshop is designed to give participants the opportunity to develop skills in facilitating online learning activities.
The workshop aims to:
  • develop pedagogical and social skills of facilitating online learning
  • help participants to exploit the potential of online platforms in designing their teaching, learning and assessment

Intended outcomes
By the end of this workshop, we expect that participants will be able to:
  • explain the characteristics of online interactions and use strategies for communicating effectively in an online context
  • discuss the application of key models to designing and facilitating online learning
  • design online activities to build on students’ learning
